We attended the wedding of my long-time friend Kirsty and her Luke, this Saturday, in the Gold Coast. I have been friends with Kirsty since grade two, and given the heart-wrenching time she has had in the last couple of months, it was so good to see her happy, smiling, and laughing. The wedding was lovely, but I am extremely embarassed to admit, the number of photos (let alone quality photos) that I took, is very limited. Here are a few:
[Kirsty and Luke leaving the church]
(lighting for this shot was horrible, but I couldn't use the flash because of the professional photographer)
[Bryde, Matt + little Gemma]
The reception was held at Luke's family's property in the Gold Coast hinterland. Even with the imposing dust storm, it was beautiful. On Kirsty and Luke's entrance into the reception, they performed a candle lighting ceremony, in honor of her mum. It was very touching, and Kirsty was very strong in explaining its significance, and her's mum's involvement in the cake decorating.

Love your curls - looks so different for you! Sounds like it was a lovely day, despite the difficult circumstances and weather.
