March 2010 in review

Fun things did I do with family and/or friends:
  • Jason's birthday dinner at Harrup Park with the Krolls and Gordons
  • Our weekend away at Peppers, Airlie Beach for Jason's birthday
  • Breakfast with the Boot Camp crew
  • the end of Boot Camp party (with lots of Sangria)
Best meal or food eaten in the past month:
  • it was hard not to beat the End of Boot Camp party (sangria, icecream, cheeses, and pizza), even if I was very sick the next day
Gifts I gave and/or received:
  • Jason was very suprised and pleased with his new Kindle e-book reader
Special or unusual purchases I made:
  • Booked our trip to Melbourne in June.  Jason will be doing his black-belt grading, and we're spending almost a week there as a belated anniversary get-away. 
The most challenging thing I did:
  • Starting the cleanup of the craft room
Something I learned or tried for the first time:
  • Putting up Elfa shelving in the craft room cupboard (so very easy, I highly recommend it, even if it is a tad on the expensive side)
The best advice I gave or received:
  • can't really think of any
Anything else noteworthy:
  • Joshua Samuel Kelly was born happy and healthy on March 17th
  • Cyclone Ului pretty much hit us on Saturday/Sunday 20th/21st and we lost power for about 50 hours
  • We lost Jason's beer fridge to the cyclone and were forced to buy a new and very pretty stainless steel front fridge for the kitchen
One thing I would like to repeat:
  • Our weekend away

  • The loss of power due to the cyclone

Things to aim for next month:
  • Complete my next home project : complete tidy, declutter and reorganisation of craft room (only part way there)
  • Train for my first 5km race (first weekend of May)
  • Fundraise for Relay for Life (15/16th May)

  • It is no where a technically good photo, but I like it.  It was taken during my mini photo shoot with the Gordon children. [I've used a Maggie Holmes Vintage action]
