Gifts I gave and/or received:
- I bought Jason's birthday present (really early)
Special or unusual purchases I made:
- I commissioned Caitie to make me a beautiful little elephant, to give to Gemma
- paid for my boot camp (ie 8 weeks of torture)
The most challenging thing I did:
- start running again, after a long absence
Something I learned or tried for the first time:
- I learned (thanks to Tamie's diagnosis) that I suffer from hay-fever (first time in my life)
The best advice I gave or received:
- Tamie told me to use Claratyne for my hay-fever
Anything else noteworthy:
- Received the results of our Kearney family photo shoots, and were quite happy with them
- Gemma-Louise turned 1, but we couldn't get down to Brisbane for the party
One thing I would like to repeat:
- the days off, before going back to work on the 4th.
Something I’d prefer to erase:
- almost cutting my finger off while cooking
Training summary:
- Starting weight :: 79.2kg
- Ending weight :: 77.9kg (loss of 1.3)
- Total number of walk/run sessions :: 9
- for a Total distance of :: 35.82km
Things to aim for next month:
- Continue running regularly, and survive the first 4 weeks of boot camp
- Continue eating relatively well (and eliminating chocolate, icecream, alcohol, and softdrink)
- Complete my next home project : refurbishing an old desk and filing cabinet
- Complete one of the gift albums I have promised
Note to Self:
- consistency, consistency, consistency
At this point in my life:
- I am … training to run over a half-marathon distance
- I need to change … how often I take photos
- I can … now get through the morning, without emptying a box of tissues (thankyou Claratyne)
- I deserve … some kind of a medal for giving up icecream & chocolate for 8 weeks
- I know … I will achieve my fitness goals. I just have to keep persevering
- I am thankful for … a husband who as suggested custom-fitting my scrap room, rather than moving around higgildy-piggildy pieces of furniture (I have to find the money, but he did suggest it!)
- I am looking forward to ... Jason's birthday weekend (in March)
