Last night, while watching Jamie Oliver on MasterChef, Jason made the following comment, which made me laugh:
If I had to choose someone famous' place to go to for tea, it would be Jamie Oliver. If I had to choose a famous person to come around to our place for me to cook tea, I'd choose Bear Grills.

Travel in Customs always showcases amazing photos, but this one caught my eye with the unusual architecture. It's the Mikimoto building in Tokyo.

1. I'll kick off this week's list with "I despise dentists". I'm not quite as bad as Jason, but I really dislike that damn drill. The dentist gave me a filling this week, along with the (somewhat) good news that I only have one wisdom tooth to be taken out. The preference is to have it out before we go away next year, and due to the nature of the tooth itself, this will have to be done under general anaesthetic. Next check up is November. So I have until then to forget about it.
2. While on a roll, I also despise ATMs. At least one in particular, which decided to let me withdraw $50 but then fail to actually give me my money. Quite a bit ticked off, and a few terse words with two different banks and I think I have been credited the $50. I have to check the account tomorrow.
3. Friday night, a few girls got together for a "Pasta and Classic Movie" night. Leah had organised another one previously, that I couldn't go to, so this was my first. It was a great night. Beautiful pasta, delish tiramisu (made by me), interesting company, and a creepy movie. Leah's movie choice was The Birds, one of Alfred Hitchcock's most famous movies. Some parts were funny due to their being outdated, some parts were slow, and some parts were downright creepy. And don't get me started on the ending...
4. Broncos won yet again! That's three in a row.
5. Rather than our standard Sunday morning routine, Jason suggested we head out for breakfast. Off to Traffic we went for their amazing eggs benedict. If it wasn't for the icy breeze, it would have been beautiful. I compensated by drinking two coffees.
6. My to-do list for the weekend was rather long, as usual, but I managed to get through the majority of it. There is nothing like the feeling of accomplishing what you've set out to do.
7. One of things on my to-do list was to start (and hopefully finish) Rob's 60th Birthday album. I set it up digitally and decided to print it at home, so I could use matt-finish pages. I chose matt-finish so that they can use it as a guest sign-in book at the party, without fear of smudging ink, etc. If it hadn't have been for an empty ink cartridge, I would have been able to finish it.
8. The iPad was released in Australia this week. It's not high on Jason or my wishlists. It probably would have been high on Jason's if he didn't have the Kindle already. I can see the benefits of having one if you are travelling, but I can't see the day-to-day benefits. Especially if you already have an iPhone.
9. The countdown is on. Only 4 weeks from Thursday is the premiere of Eclipse.
10. June is promising to be big month. Trip to Melbourne, my sister and her family visiting for a week, corporate fun runs, Eclipse premiere and a heap of birthdays. One thing I did realise is that I won't work any more than a three-day week in June. Cool eh?

It's been a long time coming, but I've finally scanned some of the layouts I completed at our last Get Scrapped Getaway, which was over the Anzac Day long weekend.

since I was sick for the majority of the weekend, when I did get around to finishing these layouts at home, I took advantage of a few things in my stash. One of these was the title for the next layout, which I've had for ages, and this was the perfect use...
and finally (for this post), my favourite layout of the weekend. It's quite different to what Caitie had in mind, but when I had all these photos together, I was sparked with inspiration for a title page for my 'Animals We Love' album...
Hopefully I will get to finish the remaining layouts, and have them scanned for next week. Until then, happy scrapping.

The inspiration for this recipe comes courtesy of the Heavenly Tiramisu site. My sister has been making this for years, and it is delish. Don't bother making it if you are watching your calories, or don't like making a mess in your kitchen. If neither worries you, then go right ahead.

This post from sfgirlbybay showcasing dog images using a kodak duaflex camera. Never heard of this type of camera before, but I love the grainy images it has produced.
Why have I never heard of a National Stationary Show? Sure it's in America, but how cool is that. I could definitely spend a few days checking out this stuff. DesignGuide has had a few feature posts on the show.
